Musk plans to relaunch "a rock solid" Blue subscription service from November 29

Twitter's 'self-appointed' CEO Elon Musk announced on Wednesday that the microblogging site will relaunch its $8 Blue subscription service with verification beginning November 29 and intends to make it more "rock solid" this time.

Twitteratis have been waiting with bated breath for the relaunch of the blue check subscription service, and billionaire Elon Musk has finally announced the date! Twitter had to pause the $8 blue check subscription service due to the proliferation of fake accounts.

The 'early morning' tweet of the new boss!

Twitter is back with another "new" update! The world's richest man recently revealed that the microblogging site will relaunch its blue subscription plan on the 29th of this month, but this time the plan will be rock-solid. Elon Musk tweeted early this morning about his intention to relaunch the subscription service: "Punting relaunch of Blue Verified to November 29th to make sure that it is rock solid", Musk confirmed.

It's $8 for 'Blue,' Twitteratis!

Previously, only verified posts from journalists, public figures, celebrities, and government officials received the coveted blue check mark. However, with a subscription option, anyone willing to pay can gain access to it. The option was introduced earlier this week in an effort to increase Twitter's revenue as Musk battles to keep advertisers. As per the new plan "changing your verified name will cause loss of checkmark until name is confirmed by Twitter to meet Terms of service", Musk wrote.

Pay to stay!

After receiving harsh criticism, Twitter discontinued its Blue service. Musk revealed that everyone who currently has a verified account on Twitter must pay the $8 monthly fee in order to keep their 'blue reputation' on the platform. "All unpaid legacy Blue checkmarks will be removed in a few months", Musk added.

It seems like paying is the only way to go blue on Twitter now!
