Most expensive overs by Indian bowlers in ODIs

Yuvraj Singh and Ishant Sharma jointly hold the unwanted record of bowling the most expensive over for India in an ODI. They did it against England and Australia respectively. 30 Yuvraj v Eng Oval 2007 The 6th ODI of the series between India and England was played at the Kensington Oval in London. England batted first and struck 316 for 6 from their 50 overs. Given how things started, India were expected to restrict England to well below 300 when the final over began. However, Dimitri Mascarenhas had other plans as he dispatched Yuvraj Singh for 5 sixes in a single over, the last of the innings. Mascarenhas remained unbeaten on 36 off 15 deliveries, going at a strike rate of 240. Yuvraj Singh who had bowled decently until then ultimately finished his five overs with 59 runs and an economy rate of 11.80. Thankfully for India, the team won the match by two wickets. 30 Ishant v Aus Mohali 2013  Ishant Sharma was at the receiving end of a carnage from James Faulkner in the 3rd ODI of the 7 match ODI series between Australia and India being played at the Punjab Cricket Association ground in Mohali. India scored 303 while batting first on the back of 68 from Virat Kohli and an unbeaten 139 from MS Dhoni. The team was then in a good position having reduced Australia to 174/5 after 37 overs. However, James Faulkner played a gem of a knock as he remained unbeaten on 64 off just 29 balls, striking at 220.69. He got hold of Ishant Sharma towards the end of the match, turning the match on its head by taking 30 runs off a single over. 28 Krunal v Eng Pune 2021 In the 2nd ODI between India and England, Krunal Pandya was in the firing line. Chasing 337, Jonny Bairstow and Ben Stokes made a mockery of the target as they overhauled it in just 43.3 overs as England won the match by 6 wickets. It was Stokes who was in scary form and raced to 99 off just 52 deliveries after reaching to his 50 relatively slowly. Stokes smashed 4 fours and 10 sixes at a strike rate of 194.38, taking a liking to Indian spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Kunal Pandey as the spinners had nowhere to hide. Stokes bashed Krunal Pandya for 28 runs in a single over, to take England to a win.
