It is absolutely essential that we keep the objects we use regularly sanitised and clean. In today’s world, it is important to sanitise everything, especially our makeup products. Sanitising your beauty products and makeup brushes will not only keep them germ-free, but also improve the shelf life of your products. Sanitising is especially important if you share your beauty products with someone – like your sister or your bestie. Make it a habit of doing it once a week. How To Sanitize Your Makeup Products What You Need: Sanitising wipes Sanitising spray Disinfecting liquid Optional - Spray bottle Sanitising Using Makeup Wipes For everyday makeup products such as foundations, lipsticks, eyeliners, eyeshadows, etc., use sanitising makeup wipes. Use them to sanitise the outside of the products. This will kill all the lingering germs and also remove any finger prints and stains, Do this as many times as possible, especially if you these products daily. Sanitising Using A Disinfecting Liquid This is the absolute best method of sanitising your makeup brushes. All you need to do is wash the brushes with shampoo or any cleaning agent. Then, dip them in warm water. Add a few drops of disinfecting liquid to the water, and let them soak for about 15 mins. Rinse with clean water. This will ensure that all the residue is thoroughly eliminated from your makeup brushes and all the germs are killed. You can use the same process for sanitising your beauty blenders as well. Sanitising Using A Spay If you are in a hurry, or just plain lazy, you can disinfect your products using a sanitising spray. Since it is so easy and convenient to use, you can use it to sanitise all your beauty products every other day. Spritz a bit onto products like eyeshadows boxes, lipsticks, and foundations to quickly disinfect the outside. Bonus Tip: If you don’t have access to a sanitising spray, then please don’t despair. Sanitisers are a hot shot commodity nowadays. You can simply create your own. Take a spray bottle, preferably new, and fill 1/3rd of it with plain water and the rest with any sanitising liquid. You can also add rose or lemon essence for fragrance if you want. Shake well and you are done!
