The burgeoning rise of esports meant building permanent space to host esports tournaments which would also allow spectators to witness tournaments live. To make a space that fully caters to the needs of esports meant building an arena that has high-speed internet connectivity, super advanced technological structures, seating space for fans, seamless mechanical functionality, large screens to broadcast to the thousands of spectators. Chongqing Zhongxian E-Sports Stadium: World’s first purpose-built stadium for esports is in China. Built by Hong Kong based designer Barrie Ho, this whopping 60,000 ft stadium is specifically built to cater to the esports industry. The stadium is marvellously technologically fitted to provide virtual entertainment of sports from inside the arena. It can fit up to 7000 people and 13000 on top of the outdoor plaza. The stadium is also equipped with new-gen technology – LED screens all around the exterior walls to broadcast esports events to the outside people. Esports Stadium, Arlington: The Esports Stadium in Arlington is solely built for esports. It is North America’s largest gaming events facility with a 100,000 square foot in the Arlington’s entertainment district, Texas. The stadium is built with the necessities to meet the technologically advanced equipment of the esports industry. It’s whopping 10 million dollars stadium has a 26-feet long LED screen, a Grass Valley broadcast system, theatrical lightning system, teams’ rooms, players’ lounge, data centre among other necessities. HyperX Esports Arena, Vegas: Vegas, known as mecca for casinos, is also a mecca for esports grounds considering big names like Hyper X, Allied Esports, Esports Arena joined forces with Luxor Hotel and Resort to build a ground for esports events and tournaments. Luxor Hotels, synonymous with its chic pyramid architecture, is also synonymous with esports. The hotels host a 30,000 square foot arena is fitted with 50-foot video wall to make broadcasting esports events with ease. Even the head chef, a prolific gamer, crafted menu fitted to suit esports events. Pretty neat, right? Esports Arena, California: World’s first venue dedicated to esports, California’s Esports Arena was built in 2015, way before esports gained big sponsors from around the world. It is at 15000 square foot and is known to host some of the earliest esports tournaments.
