In the following paragraphs, we have drafted a few more details about the all-new concept futuristic EV from Tata.

What is the importance of this article?

So far, Tata Motors has done well with its EV portfolio. However, most of the cars in their present EV line-up are EV versions of their existing ICE models. Therefore, Tata Motors now aims to launch EVs from scratch and the first product from the company is Avinya; an all-new EV from Tata’s Gen-3 electric vehicle architecture.

What can we expect from Avinya in terms of performance?

At the unveiling program, officials from Tata Motors did not share any detail about the car’s performance figures, which is understandable because the car is only a concept model. However, the Chairman of Tata Group, N Chandrasekaran said that the company will manufacture the batteries locally.

Not to forget, Chandrasekaran also informed that the Avinya will feature a minimum driving range of around 500 kilometres along with an ultra-fast charging feature. Therefore, the vehicle will charge itself in around 30 minutes.

Inside the cabin

The interior of the Avinya is one of the best we have ever seen in an Indian vehicle. Being a futuristic vehicle, the interior is super minimalistic with off-white and light brown coloured seats, dashboards and door panels. The steering wheel of the Avinya looks a bit like the steering wheel of F1 cars that also features an integrated screen designed to display a host of information.

Other features

The Avinya’s interior also features a soundbar, rearview cameras mounted on wings and next-generation connectivity. To enhance the overall driving experience and safety of the passengers, the Avinya is also armed with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Another interesting element of the Avinya is its Butterfly doors that are likely to woo several buyers.

Last but not the least, the official statement of Tata Motors

“The AVINYA Concept is the fruition of our first idea built on our Pure EV GEN 3 architecture, enabling us to produce a range of globally competitive EVs,” said Shailesh Chandra, the Managing Director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd.
